Guru Shri Shekhar Tanjorkar is well known for his unique multi-genre and multi-instrumentalist skills who has excelled the best of Indian Classical music. He comes from a family where music has thrived for untraceable generations and his family has been a part prestigious court musicians of those days.

Over the course of distinguished Career Guru Shekhar Tanjorkar has rendered Invaluable service as a Violinist for all classical and folk dance form of India including Bharatha Natyam,Odissi,Kuchipudi,Mohini Attam, Rajasthani dance, chhou dance.
He has had the rare honour of accompanying all exponents ,Maha guru Acharya Parvati Kumar, DrSandhya Purecha ,Dr.Kanakrele ,Pt Kelucharan Mahapatra ,Padmashri pt .Gopaldubey,Padmashri Hemamalini and Sudhachandran.
Beyond his performance Guru. Shekhar .j.Tanjorkar had the prevelege of teaching Carnnatic violin at esteemed institution ” Bhakta Rasika Ranjani Sabha in BARC ,Anushakthi Nagar since the past 27years and Gana Kala Nilayam 15years.
